When I was 20 years old I was thrust onto a stage to speak to an enormous meeting of Coca-Cola employees to tell them why they should come to Sea World. My skinny knees were knocking and I could barely breathe. When I was finished they applauded and my boss patted me on the back. And from that day forward, speaking in public became like breathing.

Wouldn’t it be cool if our fear of speaking up could be replaced with the freedom of writing it down?

Or the “Pay it Forward” idea of responding to a person’s kindness to oneself by being kind to someone else took the form of Ask + Tell in homes and classrooms around the world? “I will take the support I have had and try to pay it forward whenever I can”.
